Our Christmas Party this year will, hopefully, be held at the IATSE Ballroom, 2401 S. Swanson Street on Wednesday, December 6, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The menu is on the enclosed flyer. I would appreciate a nice showing from our Lodge, as I took great pride in personally booking this event, and it would be the perfect opportunity to meet others of our proud heritage in other Lodges. We need to stick together to have a voice at this especially crazy time in our world or monuments like Frank Rizzo and Christopher Columbus will be no more. At the Columbus week events, an idea began to formulate to resurrect the old OSIA fraternal spirit we had when we jointly celebrated festive occasions together in our districts. A plan was developed to fit the bill: Lodges could join together to celebrate Christmas instead of each Lodge having their own separate parties, or Lodges could still have their own separate event, plus have the option of joining in for this big inter-generational party. By joining together, we’d make a memorable family-oriented event that whole families could enjoy with Italian American flavor. I know the enclosed flyer asks to RSVP to Robert Ciullo by November 10, but I would like our Lodge members to RSVP to me by Friday, November 10, 2017.
